START TIMES
All teams need to be set up and gear off the track by 10:15am, meeting in front of the stage for the welcome and getting ready for the opening lap.
If you are in the remembrance ceremony please meet at the club rooms at 10am
Registration table will be open at 8am to get goodie bags and t-shirts. Registration table will shut at 10am
ORDER OF DAY
6.30am – 9.45am Setup
10.30am Meet up at the start line for karakia and blessing.
10.45am Special friends/Family to line up at the start line and other participants to do the guard of honour around the track.
11.00am First Lap
5.00pm Final Lap
5.30pm Prizegiving
6.00pm – 8.00pm Pack up and Pack out
TEAM GEAR DROP OFF
At your allotted time please drive right up to the gate, your time is in 20min slots. Please drop your gear off and then move vehicle to park.

If there is any change to the allotted time you chose on registration form, you will be informed by email.
WE RECOMMEND YOU BRING THE FOLLOWING ITEMS WITH YOU
- Water and food as required, however food stalls will be available.
- Suitable clothing and footwear (taking into account the weather forecast)
- A mobile phone with full battery
- The emergency procedure and emergency contact details (provided at the start)
- Camping equipment e.g. tent/gazebo/chairs
WITHDRAWALS AND REFUNDS
As is the industry standard for events and races, we do not offer refunds for the following reasons: change of mind, family circumstances, date clashes or medical events.
PHYSICAL/MENTAL CONDITION
On the entry form is a place for you to write down the medical or physical condition. We request that you contact us and outline the condition if there is not enough room on the entry form. Please make sure our team know about it. We need to make sure that you will be safe on the day!
Shining Light Relay is an all inclusive event for families; our community embraces all abilities and encourages sportsmanship and friendly competition.
CAN I CHANGE MY T-SHIRT SIZE
T-Shirt sizes are non-changeable. Please make sure you select the correct size.
WHAT IF IT RAINS
If it rains, the relay goes ahead and we get wet. Dress appropriately with lots of layers and bring a plastic bag or waterproof bag to ensure that your belongings stay dry.
WEATHER CANCELLATIONS
If weather conditions make an event unsafe, we will switch the relay to the nearest possible date.
We will notify by email, and Facebook of any date or time changes. As is industry standard, we are unable to provide refunds due to unforeseen date changes. Please subscribe to our newsletter to receive updates.
We cancel only if there is a severe weather warning according to Metservice, and will notify competitors through the channels mentioned above.
